The exciting Ryan "King Ry" Garcia (20-0, 17 KO's) plans on capturing the WBC Interim Lightweight Title as he takes on the challenge of facing Luke Campbell (20-3, 16 KO's), who has fought for a lightweight title twice which didn't go his way, but he is hoping that the third time will be the one.
Unfortunately, the southpaw Campbell is stepping into the ring against the lightning hands and punching power of one of he most exciting young fighters in boxing.
As for Garcia, he doesn't have seventeen knockouts on is resume for nothing, and his last two opponents were both stopped in their tracks by KO's.
The one thing Campbell has going for him is his championship level rounds of boxing against Jorge Linares and Vaslily Lomchenko, and that he can say that he went the distance.
Campbell is also traveling all the way from the United Kingdom, but this is what true champions do, they go wherever they can get a title, and he is ready to do it.
As for Garcia, he is more than ready to become a world champion, and is ready to prove it in Dallas, Texas in his first fight in ten months, after the covid epidemic.
Garcia vs. Campbell is a 12-round fight for the interim WBC Lightweight World Championship presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Matchroom Boxing.
The fight will take place on Saturday, January 2, 2021 and will be streamed live exclusively on DAZN in the U.S. It is presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Matchroom Boxing.
