Jaime Munguia (34-0, 27 KO's) from Mexico stepped on the scales at a chiseled 159.4 pounds for his debut at middleweight against Gary "Spike" O'Sullivan (30-3, 21 KO's) who also tipped the scales at 159.4.
Saturday at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, Munguia takes his first step into the middleweight division and makes his second fight in Texas in front of his Mexican fans.
The fight card also includes the exciting Hector Tanajara (18-0, 5KO's) from San Antonio's, who made weight at 134.6 pounds in a scheduled 10-round lightweight battle against Juan Carlos Burgos (33-3-2, 21KOs) from Tijuana.
Joshua Franco (15-1-2, 7KO's), another fighter from San Antonio tipped the scales at 114.8 in a scheduled 10-round junior bantamweight fight against Jose Alejandro Burgos (17-2, 14KOs) from Guadalajara, weighed in at 114.2 pounds.
Several exciting fighters from Dallas, Texas made weight. They include the undefeated Hector Valdez (11-0 7KO's), who weighed in at 121.4 pounds in a scheduled eight round battle against Luis Alberto Rios who made weight at 122.8.
Also from Dallas,Texas is George Rincon (9-0, 6KO's) who came in at 139.6 pounds for a six round fight against Diego Vicente Perez (13-9, 11 KO's) who made weight at 139.8.
