After testing positive for Covid-19 back in June and being pulled from the Top Rank card on ESPN, super featherweight champion Mikaela Mayer (12-0 5 KO's) is more than anxious to get back in the ring.
The main reason she is so anxious to return to the ring is because after she had supposedly tested positive, after returning home to Colorado Springs, she took another test and it was negative.
Now, after Jamell Herring, who was supposed to be on the main event, tested positive again, Mayer, the NABF Female Super Featherweight Champion is now the main event in the Bubble in Las Vegas.
At the weight-in at the MGM Grand Conference Center today, Mayer tipped the scales at a fit 131.6 pounds and her opponent Helen Joseph (17-4-2, 10 KO's) weighed in at 129 pounds.
The Bronze medalist at the 2012 World Championships who was born on the 4th of July, plans on putting a fireworks of a show on against Joseph.
