Manuel "Manny" Rojas (18-3, 5KO's) from Dallas, Texas tipped the scales at a chiseled 135.75 pounds at the weigh-in today for his fight against Top Rank's Puerto Rican prospect Felix Verdejo (25-1, 16 KO's), who came in at 136.75.

Lightweight Rojas will be stepping into the ring at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York for a scheduled ten round fight for the biggest fight of his career.

A win against Puerto Rican Verdejo can catapult Rojas for bigger fights down the road and a possible title shot in the lightweight division, such as the vacant WBC belt.

Verdejo's first loss of his career was by TKO against by Antonio Torres (40-4, 34 KO's) from Mexico in 2018 but he bounced back with a win in 2018 and another win in 2019. For Rojas, he also had a win in 2018 and 2019 leading up to this fight.

This fight is the co-main event of the Eleider Alvarez v. Michael Seal light heavyweight main event for the vacant WBC Continental Americas Light Heavyweight title.
