In a showdown of two of Dallas, Texas' best boxers, Maurice "Mighty Mo" Hooker (27-1-3, 18 KO's), the former WBO Junior Welterweight champion and Vergil Ortiz, Jr. (16-0, 16 KO's), the top Welterweight contender in the world were in attendance at the final press conference before they meet on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

This will be the first fight of this magnitude in Texas because they both are from Dallas, Texas, but just from different neighborhoods.

Ortiz has been fighting in the welterweight division and is an undefeated fighter with sixteen knockouts in sixteen fights and Hooker is fighting his second time in this weight division.

This will be the first big test in this division for Ortiz as he goes against Hooker, the former WBO Junior Welterweight champion. Hooker also has eighteen knockouts on his record, is taller and has a much longer reach, something that Ortiz will have to deal with.

Ortiz on the other hand, has quick hands and is a very accurate puncher, and with youth on his side, which means this fight will be the best of it's kind in Texas, and it will be a candidate for fight of the year.

These two great professional fighters from Dallas will be fighting in front of a live crowd and on a worldwide stage presented by Golden Boy Promotions and being shown on DAZN.
