Dallas, Texas' super lightweight Vergil Ortiz Jr. (11-0, 11 KO's) is scheduled to return to the ring on the undercard of the WBO Junior Middleweight title fight between Jaime Munguia v Inoue in Houston, Texas against Saul Corral (28-13, 19 KO's) from Mexico on January 26, 2018.
Out of fifteen fighters, Ortiz was recently chosen by ESPN as their 4th choice in their prospects of the year. This is a super achievement for the 20 year old knockout artist from Dallas, Texas.
Ortiz has super hand speed and knockout power to go and can take opponents out with body punches as well as he did against veteran Roberto Ortiz (35-3) from Mexico in his last fight. See video below.
Ortiz, whose home gym is Vivero Boxing Gym in Dallas, Texas is trained by Ring Magazine's trainer of the year Robert Garcia and is expecting to have a great year in 2019.
