MIGHTY MO AND ALEX SAUCEDO MAKE WEIGHT FOR SHOWDOWN IN OKLAHOMA CITY

A very confident Maurice "Mighty Mo" Hooker (24-0, 16 KO's), the WBO Junior Welterweight champion stepped on the scales at a chiseled 140 pounds to defend his title on Friday in the hometown of his opponent Alex Saucedo (28-0, 18 KO's).

Saucedo, the WBO number one contender tipped the scales a few ounces under the junior welterweight limit at a ripped and ready 139.4 pounds and very confident as well for his first title shot which will also be in his hometown of Oklahoma City.

After a small scuffle with both fighters, which was instigated by Saucedo as they were staring each other down, both trainers stepped in to restrain them and order was imposed.

It was not clear if the tactic by Saucedo was planned or not, but it is a clear disrespect to the champion and come Friday night, the real fight is going to happen.

The undercard, including the welterweight showdown between Egidijus "The Mean Machine" Kavaliauskas and Roberto Arriaza, will be streamed live at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
