PHOTOS - Errol Spence Is Solid And Ready To Rumble In First Defense Of His Title At The Star

On June 16, 2018, IBF Welterweight Champion Errol Spence, Jr. (23-0, 20 KO's) will make his second defense of his world title, and the first defense of his world title belt in front of his hometown fans in Dallas, Texas against Carlos Ocampo (22-0, 13 KO's) on Showtime.

Today at the R&R Boxing Gym in Dallas Texas, Spence was in "Man Down" form, the motto he goes by, and ready to put on a show on Showtime. The fight will be held at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, the home of the Dallas Cowboys.

The fight, which is presented by Premier Boxing Champions, is expected to sell out the 12,000 seats for the southpaw Spence, who won the title by going to England in 2017 and defeating Kell Brook (37-2, 26 KO's).

The undefeated Ocampo from Mexico will be making his U.S. debut against Spence and although the underdog, we know that he will leave it all in the ring as all Mexican fighters do.

Spence is ranked 4th in the top ten pound for pound fighters in the world and is considered by most as the best in the welterweight division. He has plans to unify all the belts from the other welterweight champions such as Jeff Horn, the current WBO champion, and Keith Thurman, the WBA champion, who just vacated his WBC belt.

The fight will be televised on SHOWTIME and presented by Premier Boxing Champions.

Tickets for the event, which is promoted by TGB Promotions in association with Man Down Promotions, go on sale Friday, May 4 at 10 a.m. CT and can be purchased at www.SeatGeek.com.
