Samuel Clarkson Fights Milton Nunez At Fight Night In Dallas, Texas

Cedar Hill, Texas' southpaw cruiserweight Samuel "the Main Event" Clarkson (20-4, 13 KO's) returns to the ring at The Real Estate Council Foundation's Fight Night at the plush Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas today. He will face the tough Milton Nunez (35-18, 31 KO's) for the WBC Continental Cruiserweight title.

Coming off a big TKO win last November against veteran Alejandor Berrio (38-7), Clarkson continues his quest in the cruiserweight division for that next title shot. Both fighters have had their chances for a belt, as Nunez lost to Brian Vera back in 2017 for the USA Texas State Light Heavyweight Title and Clarkson came up short in his world title shot against the undefeated Dmitry Bivol for the WBA World Light Heavyweight belt.

A lot is at stake because the winner of this WBC Continental Cruiserweight title could propel the future of both fighters for bigger and better fights in this division. The fight is expected to have lots of fireworks for the crowd in attendance.

Clarkson, a local favorite in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex will no doubt put on a show and the tough Berrio will have plans to steal the show. Either way, it is going to be a great "Main Event."

Also as a special attraction, the Marvelous One, Marvin Hagler, former WBC/WBA and IBF middleweight champion of the world, is scheduled to be in attendance.

At the weigh-in today Clarkson tipped the scales at 178 lbs. and Berrios came in at a rough and ready 173 1/4 lbs.
