After losing a controversial loss and getting stopped in the rematch against Andre “S.O.G.” Ward (30-0, 15 KO's), former WBO, WBA and IBF Light Heavyweight World Champion Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev (30-2-1, 26 KO's) steps into the ring against Vyacheslav Shabranskyy (19-1, 1KO) at Madison Square Garden this Saturday.
Both fighters stepped on the scales in great shape, with Kovalev weighing 174 pounds and Shabranskyy tipping the scale at 174.8 pounds.
The fight will be held at the Mecca of Boxing in New York, for the vacant WBO light heavyweight title, which is one of the belts that Kovalev lost to Andre Ward.
