Superwelterweight John "The Phenom" Vera ( 17-0, 10 KO's ) from Fort Worth, Texas is ready to step into the ring at the famous Gilley's in Dallas, Texas on the main event against Sunday Ajuwah (13-2, 10 KO's) from Nigeria in a scheduled eight round fight.
The southpaw Vera puts his undefeated record on the line against the tough Ajuwah, to continue his march to an eventual title shot down the road.
Vera has been consistent with his fights and since 2014, and he has stepped into the circled square on a pace of four fights a year, and this being his third fight in 2017.
In addition to his southpaw stance, Vera brings a consistent jab and power in his right hand, culminating in ten knockouts in his career so far.
He has defended his WBA-NABA Super Welterweight title three times and continues to win time after time. The same is expected from this welterweight on Friday night by world champion Roy Jones, Jr. and Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions at the famous Gilley's in the heart of downtown Dallas, Texas.
This fight is also brought to Dallas, Texas, by businessman Keith Veltre, and the bouts will be telecast on the television network beIN Sports, which will also carry future Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions bouts through 2018.
