Manuel Rojas Wins By Unanimous Decision Against Zhimin Wang On CBS Sports

In his first ten round fight, lightweight Manuel "The Punisher" Rojas (15-3, 4 KO's) from Dallas, Texas took the fight to Zhimin Wang (8-2, 3 KO's) on CBS Sports from the beginning of the fight until the final round.

After winning the first two rounds, Rojas' opponent started to come back in the third round. But when the bell sounded for the fourth round, Rojas started to back up the tough Wang by connecting with his jab, and setting up his punches. The new boxing style of Rojas was apparent in this fight as well as his prior win in the ring, which is something he has been working on with his trainer Vince Parra.

After putting on the pressure by giving and taking the best of Wang for rounds five through nine, Wang landed an uppercut that had Rojas on the defense. Rojas took the shot well and recovered from the best punch that Wang landed in the fight and finished the round on the offense. In the tenth and final round, Rojas came out looking fresh as he took the fight to Wang and finished his first ten round fight in a convincing fashion. Rojas went on to win the fight by unanimous decision, 96-94, 96-94, 96-94 on all three cards and added another win for his fifteenth professional fight in his young career.
